Education & Care

What is the EYFS?

(Early Years Foundation Stage)

The EYFS has now been in force since September 2008. All Ofsted registered settings; schools, pre-schools, nurseries and childminders have to implement the framework devised by the Government, in order to help young children have the best start in life.

These areas are broken down into further sub areas and cover a multitude of learning opportunities from physical development to self-confidence. This applies to young babies and continues right up to when children start reception into primary school. It is one framework so that all professional childcare settings can follow and implement a high level of care and learning opportunities.

At "Angela's Angels" your child's day is planned through fun activities and carefully planned learning opportunities which can be as simple as digging for numbers hidden in wet sand, climbing on apparatus at the local park, visiting toddler group sessions or even to an elaborate themed special event, all of which are giving your child's active mind the opportunity to learn, enjoy and discover.

I strive to offer a first class professional service to working parents, and a welcoming homely feel for children. I understand the importance of a working parent not missing out on those "wow" moments in their child's life. It is with this in mind that I give each parent/child an extremely detailed EYFS file noting your child's achievements and progress. It is crammed full of photos and is a beautiful keepsake for you both detailing such an important time in your child's early years development.

"The EYFS record goes way beyond the standards required. The care and attention to detail with which it has been collated reflect the outstanding levels of care offered at "Angela's Angels".

"This file is invaluable. To have a record such as this of how our daughter has progressed is a fantastic aid to us as parents. On an emotional level, it is wonderful to see just how joyful her childhood time with Angela and Sue is".
